Tax Supervisor
What You’ll Do
As Tax Supervisor, you will manage staff and senior accountants in the tax department. You will:
- Report directly to Tax Partner
- Work on higher level projects
- Coordinate with other department supervisors
- Assist managers and partners with tax work for small to medium sized businesses and individual business owners
- Manage workflow to ensure timely responses and completion of tasks to meet both internal and client deadlines
- Interact with staff and clients on a daily basis
You will have exposure to a variety of public accounting areas to determine where you would like to specialize in longer-term including:
- Tax – Closely held Corporations – C and S Corps
- Tax – Partnerships and Not for Profits
- Tax – Individual (business owners, High Net Worth, or High Earners Not Rich Yet – HENRY)
- Tax – Trust, Gift and Estate returns
- Tax planning for all the above
What You’ll Need
- 5-10 years’ experience in public accounting
- CPA necessary to advance to manager or partner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
- Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges
This is a full-time position. Although we offer flex time and remote work, we prefer locally-based team members.
Staff Tax Accountant
What You’ll Do
As Staff Tax Accountant, you will assist with tax preparation, general accounting, financial closing and reporting cost accounting, account reconciliations, and other various accounting functions, for example:
- Tax planning for businesses, not-for-profits, and individuals
- Assist in budget planning, cash flow projections, KPI tracking
- Project work – mergers and acquisitions, onboarding new clients
You will have exposure to a variety of public accounting areas to determine where you would like to specialize in longer-term including:
- Tax – Closely held Corporations – C and S Corps
- Tax – Partnerships and Not for Profits
- Tax – Individual (business owners, High Net Worth, or High Earners Not Rich Yet – HENRY)
- Tax planning for all the above
- Monthly and quarterly financial preparation for small and medium sized businesses
- Attestation Services – Audit and Review Engagements
What You’ll Need
- Internship experience in public accounting, preferred
- CPA preferred or must be eligible and ready to take exam ($5K salary increase upon passing)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
- Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges

What You’ll Do
As Senior Attestation Accountant, you will assist managers and partners with audit and review engagements, general accounting for small to medium sized businesses, financial closing and reporting cost accounting, account reconciliations, quality of earnings reports, CFO work and other various accounting functions.
You will have exposure to a variety of areas to determine best fit long-term including:
- Audits – Corporations and Not for Profits
- Reviews – variety of industries
- Compilations – assist other staff members in financial formatting and completion
- Monthly and quarterly financial preparation for small and medium sized businesses
What You’ll Need
- 2-5 years’ experience in public accounting preferred
- CPA preferred or eligible and ready to take exam
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
- Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges
This is a full-time position. Although we offer flex time and remote work, we prefer locally-based team members.
Tax Season Intern 2024
The internship is for approximately 30-40 hours per week for a period of 10 weeks at our office, 115 W Orchard Street, Itasca, IL. To be considered for this internship you must be available from January – April 2024.
What you’ll learn:
- Training with QuickBooks, Sage and other accounting software typically used by small and medium sized businesses
- Exposure to Thompson Reuters Tax (Ultra Tax) and Accounting (ACS) tax software
- Exposure to attestation process
- Opportunity to work with talented and dedicated team members, including Senior Accountants and Supervisors to complete tasks such as tax returns and financials
What you’ll need:
- A strong candidate possesses an understanding of accounting and financial principles and a positive attitude. You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn
- Must be a recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting
- Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
- Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible
This position is on-site at our offices.
Summer Intern 2024
The internship is for approximately 30-40 hours per week for a period of 10 weeks at our office, 115 W Orchard Street, Itasca, IL.To be considered for this internship with a flexible start day after Memorial Day lasting from June through August.
What you’ll learn:
- Training with QuickBooks, Sage and other accounting software typically used by small and medium sized businesses
