Giving Back While Having Fun: Fates, Bodily & Parker Cleans Up Busse Woods Forest Preserve
Staff from Fates, Bodily & Parker recently banded together for a rewarding day of community service at Busse Woods in Rolling Meadows, IL. Our “Litter Obliterators” group of 16 headed out armed with gloves, garbage bags, and a shared mission to help clean up and beautify this treasured local forest preserve.
After a quick safety briefing and eco-friendly trash picking tutorial, we fanned out in small teams across picnic areas, trails, and other high-traffic zones of the woods. Working our way through the sunny glades and shady groves, we quickly filled bag after bag with discarded waste.
In just three short hours, our efforts yielded over 10 bags of litter gathered up and ready for proper disposal. Our volunteers also got some fresh air, exercise, and quality time with colleagues and friends while accomplishing something positive for our community. It was a rewarding experience that allowed us to meet our corporate social responsibility goals while also having a great time.
We celebrated with lunch at Fat Rosie’s. A perfect end to a great day.
Fates, Bodily & Parker would like to thank everyone that donated to the Easter Food Drive
Thanks to the generosity of our clients and the community, the Easter Food Drive led to the donation and distribution of 600 meals to local residents in need.
The food drive was sponsored by, Fates, Bodily & Parker PLLC, and Electri-Flex Company, the Roselle Police Association Foundation, the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, Itasca Bank & Trust Co., and SCARCE.

The drive was so successful, there was a need for a refrigerated truck for the 600 hams. Other items donated included: canned and boxed goods, green beans, 200 pounds of potatoes, rice, pasta and more.
A special thanks to SCARCE and the DuPage County Sheriff’s SWAP teams for their logistical support including boxing and distributing the meals to the community.
CPA Day of Service – Feed My Starving Children
Fates, Bodily & Parker participated in the CPA Day of Service by volunteering with Feed My Starving Children, a non-profit dedicated to ending starvation and malnutrition, box their MannaPacks for distribution. Each MannaPack is a meal “developed by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition.”
At this packing event, volunteers packed 69 cases, the equivalent of 19,409 meals. The meals will be distributed to those in need around the globe.
This is the second time the firm has volunteered with Feed My Children and the team looks forward to future opportunities to help this fantastic organization.
